Army Helicopter Crash Claims Five Lives in Pakistan
The helicopter was deployed by the Gilgit-Baltistan government to support relief and rescue efforts after recent heavy rains and flooding in the area. Firaq detailed that the aircraft carried two pilots and three technical personnel.
At the time of the crash, the helicopter was performing a test landing on a newly proposed helipad site. Rescue teams swiftly arrived at the scene to commence recovery operations.
While the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation, Firaq pointed to a “technical failure” as a likely factor behind the tragedy.
