Former Trump Lawyer Suffers from Car Accident Injuries
His spokesperson, Michael Ragusa, stated that Giuliani sustained "fractured thoracic vertebrae, multiple lacerations and contusions, as well as injuries to his left arm and lower leg," as reported by a news agency.
The collision happened on Saturday evening.
Ragusa explained that prior to the incident, Giuliani had encountered a woman who had been subjected to domestic abuse.
He "rendered assistance," dialed 911, and "remained on scene with her until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety."
It is still uncertain whether or how this encounter is related to the accident that caused the former mayor’s injuries.
Ragusa added that “America’s mayor” is expected to remain in a hospital near Manchester for two to three more days.
Following his discharge, Giuliani will likely have to wear a brace to support his injured vertebrae.
Giuliani first rose to national attention as a prosecutor in New York during the 1980s.
He later completed two terms as mayor and launched a presidential campaign in 2008 before becoming an advisor to President Trump.
